Terms of use

The short version: registering your interest is free, nothing is ever charged unless you explicitly agree to a paid service later, and nobody — including us — controls what an AI assistant says. Last updated 23 August 2026.

1. Who we are and what this is

Torin (torinhq.com) helps local businesses understand and improve how they appear in the answers given by AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Google's AI, Gemini and Perplexity. We currently offer a free AI visibility audit to businesses that register their interest.

2. The free audit and the founding queue

Registering places your business in a queue. Audits are delivered in batches, founding registrations first, and registering creates no obligation on you and no payment of any kind. If we later offer you a paid service, its terms and price will be put to you explicitly, and nothing is charged unless you agree to them. We may decline or delay an audit at our discretion (for example, businesses outside our current service area).

3. What nobody can promise

AI assistants are operated by third parties and decide their own answers, which change over time. We do not and cannot guarantee that any business will be mentioned, recommended, or ranked by any AI system — and in our view, anyone who guarantees that is misleading you. What we provide is measurement (what the AIs actually said when we asked) and, for paying clients, work on the publicly known signals that influence such answers. Audit findings reflect the answers captured at the time they were run.

4. Your side of it

Only register a business you own or are authorised to represent, and provide accurate details. Don't use the audit request form to submit content that is unlawful, deceptive, or about someone else's business without authority.

5. Audit reports

Audit reports are prepared for the registered business and are yours to use within your business. They quote answers produced by third-party AI systems; those quotes belong to their respective platforms and are reproduced for analysis. Reports are general information, not professional advice.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, which may give you rights these terms cannot exclude), our liability in connection with a free service is limited to resupplying it, and in connection with any paid service to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for decisions third-party AI systems make about your business.

7. The practical bits

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We may update them as the service evolves; the date above changes when we do, and material changes will be flagged to the queue by email. Questions, corrections, or want out of the queue? Reply to any Torin email — a person reads it.
